The Calder Group
Family values provide formula for success Founded in Leeds in 1966 by Malcolm Rawson, who was joined by director Derek Bedford in 1978, the Calder Graphics moved to Dewsbury Mills in 1984. There has been a mill on the site since 1348 and, while the organisation’s family values, work ethic and historic buildings are reminiscent of the traditional era of textile manufacturing, the organisation has a 21st century approach to the business.

A Yorkshire company born and bred, Extract Technology was founded in 1981 in Dewsbury before moving to its current Huddersfield site in 1990.
