Frontline Solutions UK ltd
Location: Batley
A young market leader
Software company, Frontline Solutions UK ltd, based at the Batley Business Park (in-between Huddersfield and Leeds), is making big waves in the motor finance software industry.
Director, Andy Shuter established the company in 2003. Having experienced first-hand, the time-consuming process of applying to multiple internet sites to finance customers’ car loans, Andy started searching for a more streamlined solution.
He subsequently developed a specialist web-based software programme for brokers. By capturing a car finance proposal from various systems, the system allows brokers to include personalised information before sending it out to various lenders. As it negates the need to complete different online forms for each lender, it can lead to significant time-savings. As a result, Frontline Solutions quickly became the market leading software for the UK’s car loan broker market.
Developing the business
In 2008, Frontline Solutions launched DealTrak-123, a web-based, motor finance software product aimed at the UK’s 8,000 car dealerships.
Interest in the new product is steadily growing and Frontline Solutions now has 11 employees and processes almost 1 million electronic proposals each year. DealTrak-123 is currently being used by 16 main dealers, including Sunwin, Stoneacre and Bristol Street Motors, which equates to around 200 car showrooms throughout the UK. Technical director, Dr Mark Spink, commented:
“We’ve developed a robust, quality product in DealTrak-123 and we’re making good inroads into the car dealership industry. Having undertaken a financial health check with Gibson Booth in Barnsley, through the Business Link Yorkshire scheme, we also know that our business is financially strong and we’re looking forward to the future.”
The right location
While many software companies feel a city centre location is necessary for their business, Frontline Solutions has discovered that Batley Business Park provides everything they need and more.
“On-site support is excellent and rents are much lower than comparable premises and there is room for growth. Another benefit is the local transport infrastructure. With Batley train station at the end of the road, we can be in Leeds in 15 minutes and London within 2-3 hours,” said Dr Mark Spink.
