Easilift relocates within Huddersfield

One of Europe's leading manufacturers of loading bay equipment has relocated its Head Office within Huddersfield as it looks to launch new projects in 2012.

Easilift Loading Systems, established in 1976, has products distributed throughout Europe, Middle and Far East and a network of more than 40 authorised distributors.

Although only moving half a mile from their previous base, the firm’s new HQ includes a combined open-plan sales, projects and design office, conference room, and a service department. Its existing building has been retained to provide additional warehousing space to support the company’s growth.

Rob Fay, managing director of Easilift, said: “We achieved a turnover of £20m last year, with the biggest names in retail turning to Easilift Loading Systems for state-of-the-art loading bay solutions like our £6m installation for Tesco’s grocery distribution centre.

“Our new head office reflects our desire to build on this foundation, with several major project launches planned for 2012.”

In 1993, Mr Kelly merged the Easilift business with Netherlands-based multi-national logistics specialists, Loading Systems Group.
