Funding, grants and incentives

There are various grants, loans and funding schemes available to qualifying businesses in Huddersfield and the wider area.

Kirklees4funding – is a useful website detailing sources of funding for businesses and organisations in the area.

Finance Yorkshire - Finance Yorkshire is a £90million fund set up to provide businesses across the Yorkshire and Humber region with funding to start and grow. It supports small and medium businesses to raise the funding they need alongside investment from the commercial market.

West Yorkshire Enterprise Agency Loan Fund – The West Yorkshire Enterprise Agency, the enterprise arm of the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce is promoting an alternative source of finance for potential and trading businesses in this area. They operate a £1.5 million loan fund to help businesses who have been unable to access support through the usual channels. The money comes from the Enterprise Agency’s own loan fund reserves, the European Regional Development fund and other finance initiatives in the region.

The Prince’s Trust Enterprise Programme- supporting unemployed young people aged 18-30 to explore and develop business ideas, with a range of advice, guidance and, in some cases, start-up loans.

www.venturenavigator.co.uk - is a free online business support service offering business information resources and business assessments for creating and growing a new business. VentureNavigator also provides assistance for startups via a community of entrepreneurs sharing startup advice.
