FACT:
Huddersfield Town Football Club was the first English team to win three successive league titles.

Huddersfield town was formed in 1908.

In 1926, and under the management of Herbert Chapman, they became the first English team to win three successive league titles – a feat which only three other clubs, namely Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United, have matched and no team has ever bettered.  They also won the FA Cup in 1922 and have been runners-up on 4 other occasions.

The team, currently playing in League 1 and managed by Lee Clark, are nicknamed The Terriers and are instantly recognisable by their blue and white striped kit.  Under Clark’s management, in 2011 they remain unbeaten after a record-breaking 43 league matches at the time of writing.
