FACT:
Huddersfield company, Novaglaze Gardner & Newton manufactures the replacement glass for the London Eye’s capsules.
Messrs. Gardner and Newton started bending glass in 1836, and in 2006, after 170 years in the industry, joined forces with another leading curved glass manufacturer, ngn, and relocated to their 46,000 sq ft factory in Huddersfield.
Novaglaze's and Gardner & Newton attribute their sustained growth over the years to quality; of workmanship, service and the speed of response; factors which they understand more and more clients now rely on. The company offers a wide range of specialist bent glass products and recently supplied the curved glass panels which have been fitted into the refurbished capsules of the London Eye.
In 2011, and closer to home, NGN very kindly donated the glass for the refurbishment of the Greenhead Park’s Victorian conservatory.
